Your guide to Burley

Yes, Hyde Park and Headingley may be your first thought when it comes to student accommodation but, what about Burley? This inner-city suburb really doesn’t get the credit it deserves and is a great place to live as a student.

It is actually much quieter and more affordable despite only being an 8 minute train journey away from Leeds City Centre which is perfect because Burley has its own train station - Burley Park. Trinity students would also find it particularly handy as the station has a direct train through to campus.

An entertainment complex situated on Kirkstall Road (Cardigan Fields) has it all: a gym, well-known restaurants and diners, a cinema, bowling alley and a couple of supermarkets. Burley also has a wide selection of cafes, bars and pubs to wind down in after a long day on campus. For a drink, the Brudenell Social Club in neighbouring Hyde Park is one of the cheapest places for a pint in Leeds. If you want somewhere more quiet, Burley Road is home to a number of cozy cafes. There really is something for everyone here in Burley!
