Your guide to Woodhouse

Nestled right on the edge of the City Centre, Woodhouse is as convenient a place to live as anywhere in Leeds, particularly if you study at the University Of Leeds or Leeds Beckett University. One of Leeds biggest parks, Woodhouse Moor, is the perfect place to take in some fresh air or do some exercise at its basketball courts, skate park, playing fields and more. ‘Unity Day’ is held here, on a summer weekend every year to help bring the people of Woodhouse and close neighbouring areas together. There’s live music, street food and fundraising stalls for lots of local charities and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Woodhouse is also blessed with a number of old-style and student bars, many of which form part of the ‘Otley Run’. Although it starts all the way up in Far Headingley, the ‘Otley Run’ reaches its climax right here in Woodhouse.

Practically in Woodhouse itself, the University Of Leeds has a vast range of courses for both undergraudtaes and post graduates, making Woodhouse the perfect place to be for both students and young professionals.
